My son celebrated his 6th birthday this past Maundy Thursday, I bought pancit canton (Chinese noodles), cake (good thing Red Ribbon was open that day), and puto (rice cake). The weekend before he kept asking about his birthday as he was very excited to be 6 years old. He said after this birthday, I will now be 7 and I can start being an altar boy. The future is something that I do not really hold in my hands right now, but my son has always told us that someday he wants to be a priest. Last Maundy thursday, after blowing the candle, my mom told Alloy to make a wish. You know what he wished for? He said "gusto ko po maging Pari (I wish to be a Priest someday)". Happy Birthday son! ...my future Priest

Wow! You're willing to let him follow his dream of being a priest? Ok ah... not all parents do that, including my mom who talked me out into entering the convent.. LOL
I like that in a mom. Yung supportive sa dreams ng anak. :) Because just like what Gem mentioned not all moms can be like that. :) You're really a cool mom. :)
